Devana Insulation was part of the team that achieved London’s first certified Passivhaus School. The building features 340mm Larsen truss external walls and 406mm roof cassettes.

BOST EcoHouse

The new headquarters of Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) is an EcoHouse in Ayres Street. The distinctive timber curved structure is fully insulated with cellulose-fibre to offer sustainability. This eco building demonstrates commitment to good design and environmental standards within the local community.

Cullinan Studio

Cullinan Studio

Following a rebrand, Edward Cullinan Architects opened Cullinan Studio with new BREEAM Excellent offices. Located in Islington, the building incorporates many environmental features. Devana installed 300mm of cellulose-fibre onto the inner face of the south wall for optimum insulation performance.

Cannock Mill

Cannock Mill

With the Grade II listed Cannock Mill at the heart of a cohousing project of 23 new homes in Colchester, there are three contemporary terraces of houses and flats. This project achieves Passivhaus standard and is designed to Lifetime Homes space standards, to provide accessible and adaptable homes of the future. The houses were built in Larsen truss timber-frame with our cellulose-fibre insulation to ensure great energy performance and airtightness.

Goldsmith Street, Norwich City Centre

Goldsmith Street, Norwich City Centre

The development of Goldsmith Street in Norwich, with over 100 dwellings, is the largest Passivhaus social housing scheme in the UK. This low carbon scheme has all houses and flats facing south to provide sunny, light filled homes, resulting in very low fuel bills.

EcoHouse, Brook Lodge Farm

A new private residence built at Brook Lodge Farm has been designed to Passivhaus standards in order to reduce the overall costs to the client’s budget. Multiple construction methods for the substructure were considered, with our cellulose fibre insulation being chosen as the best choice to achieve the thermal performance required to achieve Passivhaus.

Bicester Eco Business Centre

Bicester Eco Business Centre

The Bicester Eco Business Centre is part of the principle strategy of the Cherwell City Council to create sustainable employment for the future northwest Bicester community. The new 3-storey building is designed to accommodate 125 workplaces, serving local and start-up businesses. With the aid of Devana Insulation, the building achieves a BREEAM Excellent rating and is zero-carbon, making it the first non-domestic building in the UK completed to the new Passivhaus Plus standard. The environmental strategy of this building supports a healthy working environment and helps to increase workforce wellness and productivity through clean, optimised air whilst eliminating excessive use of artificial heat and light.
